Why this model:

Most Thermal/Thermal Transfer printers are designed to hold 8" diameter rolls.  For applications that require a larger roll diameter the GLU-100LH accepts roll diameters of up to 12".  The GLU-100LH is positioned behind the printer.  Its Electronic Speed Control unwinds the label based on the speed of the printer taking away any stress on the printhead motor due to the heavier weight of the label roll.  Combined with the GLR-100LH Label Rewinder this is ideal for label applicator applications.  The larger rolls reduce the amount of production down time.  This product is for label printers that load from the left side of the printer.
